The couple of artists, Christo and Jeanne Claude presented the “packaging” of the Arc de Triomphe in 1961 and 60 years later this dream is about to be fulfilled for 16 days in the city of Paris.
The Bulgarian artist was known as "The wrapping artist" since his works were based on wrapping urban, rural and natural objects. As his career progressed, Christo and his wife Jeanne Claude planned ambitious projects like wrapping historical monuments and this led to “packaging”.
Because Christo passed away before finishing the preparations for this great intervention, the work became the responsibility of his nephew, Vladimir Yavacheff, who has spoken of this project as "the achievement of Christo's dream."
Thanks to this, on September 13, 2021, the Parisian monument began to wrap up.
