Overview
In Cisco Merel’s work, multiple influences combine with local references to define his aesthetic and perceptual universe. The artist explores a vocabulary of shapes inspired by typography and geometry, together with a precise and systematic color code to structure his own plastic discourse.
Cisco uses these iconographies to compose images and spaces in multiple supports such as painting, sculpture, non-traditional materials and installation, as well as projects in public space.
