Obra Abierta: Manuel Ojeda
In the most precise sense of the word, to abstract means to purify, discern and eliminate the contingent in order to arrive at what makes an object exactly what it is and not something else. That is why one of the paths of abstract art has been to, starting from nature, abstract from it essential figures, structures and signs with which the artist configures his language.
That has been the path of Manuel Ojeda, whose work starts from the observation of nature and the fragmentation of the landscape into discrete elements with sign value. In his current work, Ojeda has managed to configure an alphabet and his own syntax in which a few shapes and colors are combined to generate a potentially infinite discourse.
