Edoardo Landi MÓDENA, ITALY, b. 1937.

Biography

He studied Architecture in Venice, where he also attended the Superior School of Industrial Design between 1962 and 1964. In 1959 he was part of Gruppo N, with Alberto Biasi, Manfredo Massironi, Toni Costa and Ennio Chiggio.

His work is based on the use of geometric shapes with inclinations or programmed separations through which he achieves modifications in the viewer's perception. The artist has developed the phenomenon of retinal fatigue and optical illusions in part of his works, causing a close relationship between the viewer and the work.

Since 1971 he also became interested in graphic design and the use of industrial objects in interior design.
