Klaus Staudt OTTERNDORF, GERMANY, b. 1932.

Biography

After completing his medical studies, he entered the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1974 and 1994, he served as a professor at the Offenbach Academy of Fine Arts.

One of the fundamental elements in Staudt's work is his concern for the optical phenomena generated by light. Since the early 1960s, he has dedicated himself to working on transparency, light and interaction with the public. In his work, we discover varied ranges and shades that differ from the real color of the support, and a composition subject to systematic and geometric thinking. The appearance of chromatic saturations is directly related to the arrangement of the geometric elements located in different planes behind a colored plexiglass and the intensity of the light they receive. The perception of the composition will also vary depending on the movement of the viewer.
